Please Hold My Hand, Dear Lord

Please hold my hand, Dear Lord
I need You on this day
My burdens seem so heavy
As I bend down on knees to pray.

Today I feel so sad inside
I'm not sure what to do
But as I fold my hands in prayer
I feel You'll see me through.

I'm asking for Your blessings
To take my fears away
Please, Dear Lord, just show me
How to handle this day.

I need you, Lord, I must confess
Please touch me on this day
Hold my hand and guide me
Please take these fears away.

Some may bear their burden alone
With each day that they will face
But, Lord, I just can't walk alone
I need your redeeming grace.

The sadness that I feel for friends
Who so dearly touch my heart
Please, Dear Lord, be with them too
And have their fears depart.

Sometimes we have to pass through thorns
To see the beauty of a rose
But faith will bring us through the pain
And see us through our woes.

So take my hand today, Dear Lord
And ease this heart of mine
For I leave all my trust in You
To make my day again shine.
