thorough in keeping you informed with our shipping procedures.
However, it is nearly impossible to cover all circumstances that may

How soon will my order be processed?
Unless otherwise
specified,
orders
are shipped on or before the next business day, most
often shipping the same day for orders received
before 11a.m EST on weekdays. This is our standard procedure and not a
guarantee.
Although
we place high priority on getting your order shipped as soon as possible,
please note we make no guarantees when orders are shipped as large orders,
seasonal peaks, severe weather conditions or other circumstances may
sometimes delay shipping.

variety of shipping methods and carriers. The options available for
your item will be shown in the drop down menu on each product page.

Shipping Guarantees
Please
remember that the shipping method you select is not necessary the amount of
time your basket will arrive. The day you place your order is NOT
counted as a shipping day. The number is days in transit begins the
day AFTER we ship and does not include weekends or holidays. If you
place your order at 3pm on Wednesday for 2nd Day, it will most likely ship
on Thursday and be delivered on Monday (the first day in transit in Friday,
the second day is Monday).
We extend the
same shipping guarantees offered by the carriers.
During the
second and third week of December, it is not uncommon for the carriers to
suspend time-in-transit guarantees. We strongly
encourage you to place your
order early and allow an extra day for delivery if possible.
Alyssa Basket Designs cannot
honor claims for late delivery which are not backed by the carrier.
Summer Shipping for Fruit
Baskets
To ensure freshness during the summer
season, we will not ship your fruit basket on a day that will result in
more than 3 days in transit. The following shipping schedule relates
to same day shipping and will be in effect until mid September.
If your order is received after 11am, please review the next business day
for shipping options. If your order is placed for a method other than
those below, we will ship the next available day that will result in no
more than 3 days in transit. For example, if you placed an order on
Friday for 3 day shipping, we will not ship your order until Monday (for
delivery on Thursday)
Fruit Shipping Schedule:
Monday & Tuesday - Orders will ship for 3 day, 2nd day or Next Day
Wednesday - Orders will ship for 2nd day only
Thursday - Orders will ship for Next Day only
Friday - Next Day Air only (for delivery on Monday)

Our prices
include free ground shipping on most items, excluding
shipments to Alaska or Hawaii. On each product page, the
shipping rates for that item are shown. You can see from the
options shown if that item has free ground shipping.
Some items,
such as shipments to Alaska and Hawaii, fruit baskets and cookie gifts, cannot be shipped by ground and an express method
must be chosen.
To offer a wider variety of gifts to our customers, we
have some links on our site that direct you to another site.
Please note that we offer links to these products as a
courtesy to our customers. Our policies do not apply for items purchased from another
company; we make no guarantees nor are held responsible.
The cost for
express delivery can be seen on each product page. The costs vary
depending on weight and size of the item.
Although
our shipping rates are based on
actual, or below actual, charges from the shipping providers,
you
should note that the express rates for gift
basket packages can be quite costly as these methods are based on the
package sizes (dimensional weight) and not the actual weight.
The most common box sizes we use range from 14"x14"x14" up to
20"x20"x20" for large baskets which are
considered as "oversize" shipments. Shipping rates are estimated and
are generally based on a per basket, per address cost. Discounts may
apply if purchasing numerous items to one location, depending on how many
individual shipping cartons are required.
Please be
certain your
delivery address (including spelling, suite or apartment #'s) is correct as additional fees
will
apply for rerouting, redelivering, returning or reshipping due to incorrect or
incomplete addresses provided by you.
Multiple
Recipients
To place an order for multiple recipients
at one location, simply enter the individual names in the "Special
Instructions" section at checkout or fax your order to (440)322-4366. Please
sure to specify the gift card message for each recipient if different.
To place a large order for multiple recipients at different
addresses, you may enter the quantity of items
at checkout, leave the shipping address blank and enter the individual
names, addresses and gift card messages in the "special instructions".
The individual recipients can also be emailed or faxed separately, just be
certain to make a note in the special instructions section at checkout
that the orders are to go to different recipients and the information will
be forthcoming by email or fax.
Another option is to
use our downloadable Excel spreadsheet
forms. After completing the form, be sure to "save as" to your
computer, then fax or send as an email attachment to: sales@alyssagiftbaskets.com

Signature
Waiver/Confirmation
Upon shipment, you
will receive a confirmation email notifying you that your item has shipped,
providing you with the tracking information. By looking
up the tracking information, you can view the
details of the shipment, be aware of any problems during delivery and
confirm delivery.
Please be
advised that ownership of our products passes on to you, the purchaser, at
the time of pick-up by UPS, Federal Express, or other carrier who will act
on your behalf as your agent. If the recipient is not available, packages
may be left at the carrier's discretion. We are not responsible for stolen
or lost packages after delivery, although we will do everything possible and
work with the shipping carrier to help retrieve any missing packages, should
this rare situation occur.
Shipments
to Alaska and Hawaii
We can ship to these states by air only. Please select the "2
day air" option for delivery, although the actual
shipping time in transit may be longer.
Additional shipping fees
may be required, in which you will be notified by email.
Shipments
to Hospitals
After years of struggling to accommodate these orders,
we no longer ship to
hospital patients due to the alarming number of "lost" packages and early
patient discharges. We have had packages returned to us
undeliverable, weeks after the patient was discharged, that were rummaged
through and destroyed.
We recommend that you ship to
either a nearby family member if possible or to the patient's home address.
International
Shipments including Canada
We are unable to ship to
these locations due to the high shipping rates and customs
fees.
For orders to Canada, we
recommend our gift basket affiliate in Canada,
Boodles of Baskets, for great gifts at minimal shipping costs.
Shipments to APO/FPO and PO
Boxes
UPS/FedEx cannot deliver to
theses addresses, please provide a physical address.
Fresh
Flowers
To ensure freshness, live flowers
are shipped directly from the grower,
and are shipped
via Overnight Carrier at minimum costs (Ave. $9.95 Tuesdays - Fridays,
$14.95 on Saturdays, no deliveries on Sundays or Mondays) to any destination in the U.S. and most destinations
in Canada. Orders can be placed up to 3:00 p.m. for next day
delivery.
